During a one-week residency in Piran, chalk was used to map my exploration of the town directly onto the town itself. While exploring, I became a performing cartographer. The activity imposed an immediate and unavoidable physical engagement between local people, the map being created, and myself as the outsider-mapmaker. As time passes, the map itself becomes transformed by the place being mapped; the lines become undrawn.
