"Knowledge" evokes a the desire for a new type of thinking, that which includes the divine, the feminine, and the sensuous. The pointed gesture is a reference to historic paintings depicting leaders of war while the squatting stance evokes birth and the early divine. The infamous Minoan octopus jar the figure is holding references a liquid state of existence, the thin membranes between worlds, and an embryonic sac.
