Piran #1: The Mapmaker
Performance and Interactive Installation
During a one-week residency in Piran, Slovenia, chalk was used to map my exploration of the town directly onto the town itself. While exploring, I became a performing cartographer. The activity imposed an immediate and unavoidable physical engagement between place, residents, and the map being created.
